Join Emily Grigos from Zen Yoga & Wellness, in a Yoga for All practice, where all can participate, without judgment, and leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for the weekend. The hour long class/practice will be followed by your favorite: savasana (rest) and Wachusett pub beer.

Gather with certified sound healer and intuitive musician Nina Vecchi and yoga instructor Michael Vecchi to enjoy the sweet sounds of crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls and gongs while being gently guided into a deep relaxed state. Participants are led on a sound journey that unfolds into a peaceful healing experience which will leave you feeling refreshed and at ease!

Whether you are new to them or have some in your practice, this workshop will help you learn and develop a variety of arm balances and inversions.

This series will take you from the beginning of the inversion/arm balance and show you how to gradually build up to poses in a safe and proper way. After each session you will be given exercises to complete before the next session that will help you build your poses, wherever you are starting from!

Have you ever wanted to try something new with your yoga practice or fitness routine? Have you ever wished your husband, wife or best friend would try yoga because you love it so much? We have an idea! Join us for Partner Yoga and share your yoga practice with your loved-one or bestie.

Partner yoga is a wonderful way to share time, create an experience, and have fun with someone you trust. Creating postures with the assistance and support of another person can bring depth to a yoga practice in ways you can not attain alone. Trust, appreciation, compassion and respect grow when you move through postures in coordination with another being. Intentional human support offers so much more than any strap, block or bolster.

After introductions and a short talk on the “rules and regulations” of working with a partner safely, Jenna Mooney and her partner Chuck will guide you through a simple and fun 75-minute beginner partner yoga practice intended to bring gentle motion to your body, breath to your spirit, growth to your relationship and joy to your afternoon.

Please plan to bring a mat and water for each person. A pen and course outline will be provided for notes. Partner yoga does require touch, so be sure you are comfortable with the person you choose to share your mat space. All of the postures chosen for this workshop respect interpersonal boundaries and can be modified to attain all comfort levels, however touch is part of the practice. The level of connection you choose to attain with your chosen partner is completely up to you.

This 6-week course introduces yoga to the layperson. The focus is on how to make yoga poses fit your body without judgment or competition, while surrounded by people, also new to yoga.

This workshop is offered in studio, 12 maximum. $99 for the 6-week series. Pre-registration is required.

Beginning June 7, yoga is back outdoors at Academy Hill! Gentle Yoga with Britt will be held Monday evenings at 6:45pm and Wednesday mornings at 7:30am.

Pre-registration is required and class is included in your ZEN membership or $18 drop-in fee.

Yoga postures created with integrity and proper alignment are the best way to get more from your yoga practice. There are many components to a yoga pose and it can seem overwhelming to try to line everything up AND move deeper into your practice. Good news!!! There is a small set of “rules of thumb” that connect postures!! Once you become familiar with what they are, practicing with good alignment becomes second nature….and when it does, you will get more out of your practice physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This 4-week series will help these common foundations become second nature. The body learns through repetition. The four class series will thread simple sequences together using a small set of simple rules. You will hear and practice the simple common concepts several times in each of the four classes. At the end of the series, you will be familiar with the best alignment for you.
 
4 one-hour yoga classes.
 
The class size is limited to 10 people to allow a more personal and interactive experience.

Join us at Smith’s Country Cheese in a yoga practice where all can participate, without judgment, and leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and connected with breath and nature.

The hour long practice will be followed by your favorite samples of cheese and local wine flight (for guests 21 and older) while enjoying the tranquility of the farm. Our shop will also be open beforehand and afterwards for all of your cheese and local good needs!

Please bring a yoga mat and water.
