Pilates is an exercise system that helps to build strength and flexibility in the body by emphasizing the use of one’s core. Lengthening from a strong center helps to develop toned muscles without bulk. Originally developed as a rehabilitative system, important principles within Pilates help to improve overall physical health, including posture and joint health, and it promotes mindful well being and positive body awareness.
Come sculpt, tone, and align your entire body while you move to music and have fun! Barre is rooted in Pilates, Yoga and Dance, but the moves require more strength and stamina than innate grace, so even if you have two left feet, you’ll be able to follow along. No tutus required….wear comfortable workout clothes and expect to go barefoot. Moves are designed to create longer stronger muscles, firmer bottom, toned core….all while improving flexibility and posture.
Strengthen and lengthen with Yoga Sculpt!
In this class you will use light weights in combination with a traditional Power Yoga class, with flow and movement with breath. You can expect more reps, sustained poses, core work, and targeted strengthening.
Strengthening will help you not only in your yoga practice, but in your everyday life. It is good for injury prevention, bone health, and of course mental health.
Modifications always offered!
In this advanced yoga class, you will have a more interactive experience with the instructor, who will guide you through more advanced poses and sequences. It is open to all levels, with modifications offered, but expect to be challenged, to learn a lot, and to have fun!
Tone and strengthen your core, hips and thighs in this all level, low impact mat Pilates based class. Pilates exercises are incorporated as we focus on the burn in your glutes and abs in this 45 minute session.
Light hand weights, loop band and Bender ball are often used as props.
No experience necessary, this class is for all ages and all levels as modifications are always offered.
