Meet Gena Catalucci: Owner of the Main Squeeze
Meet Gena, owner of the Main Squeeze!
Gena, founder and operator of The Main Squeeze, has been a bright light in our Zen community since the moment she walked through our doors. With her radiant energy and uplifting spirit—not to mention her incredible cold-pressed juice creations—Gena inspires wellness both on and off the mat.
Through The Main Squeeze, she blends a passion for healthy living with nourishing, raw juice concoctions that our community can’t get enough of. We’ve been lucky to partner with Gena at many Zen events, and we’re so grateful for her continued presence, warmth, and support.
We’re also thrilled to celebrate this exciting season of her life as she prepares to welcome her new baby—congrats, Gena!
Gena was our Warrior of the Month in July 2024, and it’s easy to see why. Follow her journey and juice magic on Instagram
More about Gena, our July 2024 Warrior of the Month:
1. How long have you been practicing at Zen Yoga & Wellness?
Gena: I’ve been practicing at Zen for just around 6 months!
2. What does belonging to the studio mean to you?
Gena: Belonging to the studio gives me a sense of community with like minded individuals, inspiration, and accountability. It gives me a place that I know is safe for me to take time for myself and learn how to be more present as well as be aware of the needs of my body.
3. What are the benefits you have found by doing yoga/barre/pilates?
Gena: Yoga has brought me a sense of “slow down” so I can truly feel what my body needs. It has helped me to recognize the power of my breath and the importance of moving my body in intentional ways.
4. What is your favorite pose and why?
Gena: This is very difficult… They all hold such physically and emotional value. I’d say legs up the wall. Why? Because it gives us a reminder to slow down. It reminds us how much pressure we put on our feet and legs to carry us every day. To take time to give rest to (while we are consciously awake) the parts of our body that serve us the most that we don’t always give enough love to.
5. Any advice you would like to share with newbie yogis?
Gena: Newbie yogis: This is about you and no one else. There is no competition. There is no “being the best at” this is for you to turn inwards, become consciously aware of the needs of your body and slow down to truly nourish yourself. Movement is medicine and it is for you in every way imaginable: Mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, energetically.
We had the pleasure of partnering with Gena at our Summer Solstice event, and we are excited to have her join us more in the future! Gena's dedication to creating a positive impact in the community is truly inspiring. We invite you to check out her business online and support her incredible work HERE and on her Facebook page HERE.
A heartfelt thank you to Gena for embodying kindness, authenticity, and a true warrior spirit. We are grateful for the light you bring into the community!
