Michael Vecchi is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
I completed my initial training at Frog Pond Yoga Centre – Princeton, MA in the classical and traditional Raja Yoga. The practices of Raja Yoga place emphasis on integration of breath, body and mind to promote spiritual growth. I started the yoga practice for stress reduction and physical therapy which developed into a great passion for yoga and learning about the practice. My passion has evolved over the years and continues to grow as I integrate the “Yoga” practice into my life and daily activities.
I am also a graduate of the “Hits The Spot Yoga Advanced Teacher Training 500-hour Certification Program” registered with Yoga Alliance. I studied at Solar Hill Yoga in Brattleboro Vermont with Scott Willis along with another wonderful group of “Yogis” from the area. Scott draws on his years of teaching and study along with his primary influences of Anusara, Kripalu, Iyengar Style, and Insight Meditation. He uses techniques from all of them in his yoga curriculum.
Along with my formal training I have owned and operated a yoga studio, “Unity Yoga” in Gardner Massachusetts where I taught as a community service and practiced yoga both on the mat and off. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. There is no competition in Yoga each person works at the best of their ability.
